Which Truth Are You Living?

Which Truth Are You Living?

We have two truths- the ones that hold us back and the ones that help us to grow and flourish. Those truths don’t just define our self-worth, our character, and our values. We become those truths and they create our reality.

If those truths are disempowering, and about 70% of them are, we become passive with what we’re willing to receive. Not just from others, but the expectations we set for ourselves.

Starting from around the time we were born until we’re about seven years old, our subconscious mind was being programmed. Everything from our environment is being absorbed- from our parents, extended family, school, other kids, the TV. This isn’t just about what’s said to us. It’s what we hear and observe.

Our subconscious mind isn’t biased with the information it receives. It stores it even if what we’re being told to believe is false.

When we hear or see something enough times, it eventually becomes a truth. We end up living the truths of others, whether intentionally or not.

At seven, our conscious minds began developing. But the conscious mind (creative mind) operates only about 5% of the time while the subconscious mind (the habit mind) is operating about 95% of the time.

THE TWO TRUTHS:

Are you chastising yourself for your mistakes? Or are you speaking kindly to yourself and honoring your journey?

Are you demeaning yourself for not being healed enough? Or are you rooting for yourself, treating yourself like you’re worth your own investment?

Do you laugh at yourself for the dreams you have? Or do you take yourself seriously?

Do you treat yourself as an afterthought? Or do you treat yourself like a priority?

Do you blame yourself for the trauma you’ve endured? Or do you tend to your invisible scars with compassion and understanding?

Do you spend your time thinking about the things you don’t want? Or do you visualize a future you would be proud of?

So, if you’re not meeting your goals, or you’re not picking up new hobbies with any success, or aren’t making more money, it’s because your subconscious mind doesn’t believe you can. There’s an invisible threshold that even consciously we know we can surpass, subconsciously, we feel we can’t.

We can continue living our fallacious truths or we can rewrite our inner truths.

To see ourselves from a new lens, we need to reprogram the program. We do that by feeding our mind with words of empowerment, compassion, and kindness.

Again, it boils down to repetition. The more you nurture your mind with things you want instead of things you don’t want, the more you’re training yourself to live a new truth.

Be gentle with yourself. Talk to yourself like you love and respect yourself, like you value your own opinion. Empower yourself through compassion.

You can use the example below to see how a change in words has the power to shift your perspective. Remember- you have the ability to create anything you want. You’re slaying this journey of what we call life.
