How many times did you break down in tears, praying to the Universe/God to help get you sober? I know I did. Countless times.
There’s something about those moments- when you feel so ashamed and powerless, but you’re also so desperate for something more. You know you’re meant for more. You can feel it on a visceral level.
So we wished for a do over on life. Probably too many times. And we used to think to ourselves, “if I could just be sober, then I’d be really happy. I’d be free and live life the way I want with no reservations. My life will mean more than my failures.”
Here’s the thing- you are exactly where you once wished you could be. After all the tears and psychological wars that no one will ever know about, you’re here. You made it. You asked to be sober. And your wish was granted.

Of course it’s scary with the layers of complex emotions (some of which you don’t even know how to articulate) you’re unraveling. You’re forging a new path, one you’ve never walked while becoming a person you’ve never met. But that’s part of the journey- to laugh, to cry, to grow.
It’s bittersweet. But we also don’t have to make it harder on ourselves. You can be everything you’ve ever hoped to be. Because you already are that person. You just have to unbecome everything you think you are to become everything you really are. It’s a paradox but life is about breaking down everything we’ve learned in our youth so we can come home to ourselves.

Lean into knowing you’re going to be ok because you’ve made it this far. If you’re skeptical and don’t think it’s possible, reflect back on all the times you didn’t think you were going to make it. And look where you are now- on the other side of what was once impossible. You made it.
Lean into knowing you can manifest ANYTHING you want. Because if you can manifest sobriety, you sure as hell can manifest heaven on earth for yourself.
Lean into knowing that you will rise. Because you’ve already been in the pits of hell. You’re just in the process of conquering it so that you can step into the new and improved version of yourself.
