It’s bittersweet walking away from the things and people that used to define who you were. There’s a part of you that’s so nostalgic for what once was, so you hold on to savor one last moment because you know it’s the end of an era.

You keep one foot in the door in hopes that one day when it’s nothing but a memory, you can hold it in your mind’s eye as if it were yesterday.

You stay as long as you can because you know when you leave, there’s no going back. You can’t. The new beginning has far too much potential for you to hold onto “maybe they’ll change. Maybe one day, they’ll see me. Maybe they’ll finally acknowledge and love me the way I want.”

The false promise of maybe no longer holds the allure it used to, not when it’s become one too many heartbreaks.

It hurts a lot knowing that everything you want means walking away from everything and everyone holding you back. But you also can’t keep yourself stuck in a pattern feeling like you have to be someone you’re not just to fit in with outdated mindsets and people who will never understand you.

What’s on the other side is all of your hard work paying off. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted. It’s the life you daydream about and probably even cried for, wondering why happiness isn’t in your destiny.

It’s like you can see it and feel it so clearly that it feels real. Because it is real. It’s more real than anything you’ve ever felt. It’s more real than the life you’re currently living.

So go get that life. Get the home, the partner, the kids, the car, the happiness, the abundance- whatever it is you want, go get it. It’s already yours. It’s just waiting for you to walk away from everything that thinks you can’t have it.

You didn’t come this far in your journey to remain here or stuck in the past. You didn’t shed those tears, grieve those heartbreaks, or suffer in silence to not have it all. And you didn’t take the time to heal so you can hold onto maybe.

You are one decision away from having everything you want. So make the decision to step into the unknown. Take a leap of faith. Believe in yourself enough to take a chance on yourself.

Allow your new life to unfold. Whatever isn’t meant to be with you, let it fade. The old mindsets, people, places- love them from a distance. Take each step with confidence that you’re being guided, protected, and supported by the unseen forces.

Let yourself be surprised by life. Let yourself see how good it can really get, that much you owe yourself.

I’ll see you soon…in the meantime, love yourself so much that even a Hallmark Christmas movie would be jealous.
