Several years ago, I used to ask the Universe/God for patience. Back then, I was working in the hospitality industry.

During that time, I would occasionally come across people who were far from pleasant. Though, that’s an understatement. They were more the type to act like your sole purpose was to be their indentured servant.

On the days I prayed for patience, I would encounter those types of people. And I never understood why. So I kept asking for patience, only to keep repeating the same cycle.

It wasn’t until several months later that I understood why. I asked for patience so I was given opportunities to be patient. My prayers were being answered, even though that was far from what I had in mind. So, I stopped asking for patience and started assuming I am patient.

TIP 1:

We don’t need permission from the Universe/God to have what we want.

We just have to say it as if we already have it and start living from that state. And of course, I’m saying permission in the sense that we’re being moral and ethical with our desires.

Start declaring your desires like you already have it. Say it with confidence and conviction. We won’t always have confidence, but knowing that everything you want is yours even when you can’t see it yet will always overpower any insecurities.

We see what our brains expect to see. So, if your brain believes your desires are already manifested, it’s going to keep giving you reasons why you should believe it.

TIP 2:

We also have to be specific in what we want, really specific.

These Two Tips Will Change How You Manifest In Sobriety

If you want…
A beachfront colonial white two story home with a wraparound porch, fertile land to grow fruit and veggies, four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, with an open layout on the first floor that has a fireplace in both the den and living room, and a dining room for the times you want to be fancy. Even though the kitchen is by the back door, it’s the focal point of the home. It has an island, with two ovens for all of your entertaining and state of the art appliances. There’s floor to ceiling windows on the first floor, giving you tons of natural light along with really beautiful views of the ocean from the kitchen. The powder room is on the first floor, and the two full baths along with the four bedrooms are on the second floor. One bedroom is a master suite, with a clawfoot tub and standing shower in the bathroom, a dressing room, and a balcony big enough to fit a bistro table and two chairs that overlooks the ocean, along with a couple of lounge chairs for the times you don’t want to walk to the beach.

But you ask for:
a home near the beach.

Technically, a home 2 miles from the beach is near the beach. It also happens to be what you asked for, even though it’s not what you wanted. And if you read the entire if you want, you probably started forming a mental image of what the home looked like.

We may be detailed in our imagination, but that may not always transpire when we say it. Basically, we have to work on our communication skills with the Divine. It doesn’t mean we have to be impeccable with our words, it just means we need to get comfortable with speaking the specifics.

It can also be hard to know exactly what you want, and even harder to say it out loud, so try this:

Close your eyes and imagine what you want as best as you can. The more you practice this, the more detailed those images are going to get. If you have no idea what you want, imagine how you want to feel.

As the images come into your mind’s eye, start speaking them out loud so you don’t forget what you saw and also, to get used to asking for what you want. And if you’re tapping into how you want to feel, images of what will make you feel those emotions will pop in your mind.

The times you begin doubting if what you want will manifest, close your eyes and imagine your desires again. We have to train ourselves to believe that yes, we can have what we want. And no, we don’t have to prove ourselves to get what we want. We just have to know that what we want is ours like the way we know our hearts are pumping blood and our lungs are breathing oxygen.

I’ll see you soon…in the meantime, love yourself so much that even a Hallmark Christmas movie would be jealous.
