You are the tools and the resources you need. Everything you could possibly want begins with you, including who and what gets access to the best and not so great parts of yourself. Your thoughts aren’t an exception.
That’s where we falter. Someone says or does something and it unwillingly determines the outcome of our day. Or something from the past comes back to haunt us and we get caught up in how we could have done things differently.
Or we create “what if” scenarios with an infinite potential of outcomes so we don’t get caught off guard. On a side note- notice how most of our fantastical worst case scenarios don’t seem to manifest?
Whatever it is, we all could benefit from having tools to shift our energy. So that we don’t keep allowing external circumstances to dictate our inner truths and reality. If you haven’t already, grab a cup of coffee or tea and get comfy.

MINI MAKEOVER
Confidence comes from investing in ourselves. And yes, you’re worth your own investment. It’s also no secret that when we look good, we feel good. This isn’t about vanity, it’s about showing up as the best version of ourselves.
You don’t have to go all out. Just a little something to make yourself feel better. Maybe it’s letting your hair down, putting on your favorite earrings, or putting on some mascara. You’ll notice that you start to take yourself more seriously, you stand up straighter, and you smile more.
GO TO YOUR HAPPY PLACE
When you close your eyes and imagine your dream life, what do you see? Who are you with? What are you doing? How big is your smile? That’s your happy place. So when life’s lifing, take a stroll to your daydreams. Because that’s where your happiness is.
While you’re at it, hold the vision for as long as you can. Repeat this throughout the day as many times as you can to begin manifesting the life you daydream about. Our brains don’t know the difference between imagination and reality so you might as well have happy thoughts instead of negative ones.

COME BACK TO NOW
When your mind starts drifting and wandering into the past or attempting to predict a potential future scenario, come back to the present moment. Because no matter how much we try to will it into existence, we cannot change the past. And if you’re busy concocting all possible what-if scenarios, ask yourself, will it make me happier?
I get it…you’ve been humiliated and are struggling with betrayal trauma. But no amount of you replaying how you wish you reacted differently or how you’ll show them who you really are, it robs you of your happiness. That’s what these people wanted when they hurt you- to steal your joy. So, don’t allow them to continue winning by getting caught up in your mind. Bring yourself back into this moment.
That doesn’t mean you need to forget. It just means you need to revisit the past to heal instead of reliving it because it’s familiar.
HAVE A GO-TO PLAYLIST
Only put your all time favorites and the songs that make you feel good on this playlist. If you kinda like a song, it can’t go. It’s fine if your playlist only has three songs for now.
This is about what makes you feel good. So we can’t settle for anything less than happiness. When you’re in a funk and you need a quick mood shift, hit play and you’ll notice that within a few minutes, you feel re-energized.

HAVE GRATITUDE
I know how difficult it can be to have gratitude, especially when it feels like everything in your life is going wrong. It’s ok to not have gratitude if you can’t have it. Because more than anything, you need to be honest with yourself about how you’re really feeling.
But if you can find heartfelt gratitude for just one thing- it will change the way you start showing up. When you can be grateful for the lessons you’re learning because it’s shaping you to become a better improved version of yourself, you will heal quicker.
I’ll see you soon…in the meantime, love yourself so much that even a Hallmark Christmas movie would be jealous.
