It’s almost time to rise and shine. Finally, right?! It feels like we’ve been in hibernation for eons. And maybe it has been a long time coming. Maybe the Universe/God placed you in isolation for years so you could heal and grow.
Whatever the case, you know something good is coming. You can feel it- there’s a sense of anticipation. It’s your comeback season.
This is the beginning of your golden era. It’s your reintroduction to the world as the elevated, healed version of yourself. So, make your comeback personal. Because it is.
This is for the times you had compromised your values when people made you feel like you were asking for too much, for the times you allowed yourself to be disrespected so you could fit in, for the times you didn’t know better and didn’t think you were worthy of more.
This isn’t about proving yourself because you don’t need to prove yourself anymore- not to the people who hurt you, or even to yourself. You’ve proved who you are already. Now, you get to focus on creating what you want. It’s your time to relax, feel safe in your body, and bring in your heart’s desires. Let’s get started.
KEEP CHOOSING YOURSELF
This is the last leg where the residual debris tends to latch onto us and we have to go over it with a fine tooth comb so we can clear out everything for good. It’s also when the past comes back to haunt us, making us feel guilty for wanting better for ourselves. You’re allowed to want more and better.
Take this time to declutter spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically. Get rid of things that are holding you back. Mindsets, beliefs, relationships, situations, physical items- anything that the upgraded you wouldn’t tolerate or want in their life. Keep choosing from the elevated, healed version of yourself.
If you’re struggling with letting go, surrender your doubts, concerns, and fears to the Divine. Your job is to remain aligned in love and faith.
If for any reason you feel like you can’t fully let go or forgive people, that’s ok. That doesn’t mean your new life is going to pass you by. It just means that you want to dedicate extra time and attention to your emotions surrounding why you can’t let go or forgive. With time, you’ll detach.
FEEL IT ALL
It can feel uncomfortable because all of the emotions we don’t want to feel are surfacing. And you try to shake yourself free but they keep coming up. That’s actually a really good sign that you’re transforming. It’s coming up for you to purge so you’re no longer a prisoner to your pain.
I know it’s hard not to, but don’t resist them. We deny ourselves of feeling certain emotions because we think they’re wrong. But there are no wrong emotions. What’s unhealthy is how they’re expressed. So let the emotions come up. Feel them. The more you feel them, the easier it is for them to flow through you.
Try a perspective shift- instead of being embarrassed of your anger, rage, and shame, try looking at them as teachers. It’s through the emotions we don’t want to feel that we learn our worth, our boundaries, and what we want from others, from ourselves, from life.
DETOX YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
Detox your relationships, including the one you have with yourself. Only the new, improved you is allowed in this era. The old you- they were amazing, resilient, and endured so much to help get you here today.
There may be a tiny or even large part of you that as badly as you want the new you to emerge, you don’t want to have to say goodbye to the old version of yourself. In a sense it isn’t fair because that version of you fought so hard to get here. But you’re not saying goodbye to all of them, you’re saying goodbye to the parts of them that are holding you back- the need to prove yourself, the version that had an insane amount of contingency plans for every possible what if scenario, the version that was in a perpetual state of survival.
This new you is in their abundance era, where things flow to you with grace and ease. You don’t have to chase or hustle or even have to fight anymore for what you want. You just have to sit back and allow yourself to receive.
The same goes for relationships you know aren’t enriching your life. If you’re staying out of comfort or to protect someone’s ego, this is something you may want to evaluate. Of course, this is your decision and yours only and you don’t have to walk away if you don’t want to. You’ll do what’s right for you. Trust yourself.
FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT
This can be hard, especially when you’re so used to things not working in your favor. It’s like you want to indulge in the dreams but you hold yourself back because you don’t want to be disappointed. I get it. But, trust that this time it’s different because you’re different.
Expect more for yourself while being grateful for what you have. Let yourself get lost in your daydreams. Create a vision board. There’s neuroscience behind why they work. If you don’t know what you want, that’s ok.
We don’t always know what we want, but we know how we want to feel. So start aligning yourself with those feelings. If you want to be happy, but always get mad when you watch the news, stop watching the news and replace it with things that make you feel good about yourself. Anchor into what you want and how you want to feel.
What do you want the next year to look/ feel? Be delusional in your imagination. Be practical in your actions. If you tend to give up because you get overwhelmed with goals, try a different approach.
Mind. Body. Soul. One goal for your mind, one goal for your body, one goal for your soul. You’ll be surprised at how much more you accomplish when you focus on doing less but doing it with intention.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
The following are just as valuable as the previous tips, but don’t need as much elaboration. They also serve as reminders for when the going gets tough.
• You’re not going to miss your chance or any opportunity. Because you’ve made it this far. Anything that comes your way, if it’s meant for you, you will get such a strong pull towards it, that you can’t deny the magnetism.
• If you feel weak and powerless, remind yourself that you are the result of exploding stars. The Universe is quite literally within you.
• When you feel like giving up, come back to your anchor- how do you want to feel? Pick one tool to help you come back- a word, a mantra, or a technique.
• If you feel like your life has fallen apart and you’re starting over from scratch, remind yourself that you’re starting over from a more elevated position. You’re sober now, you see things through a different lens, you have different values and priorities- that is an immense amount of growth. This new foundation that you’re building is on fertile soil that has the proper nutrients to support your growth. You’re no longer growing from the soil that was infested with weeds.
• YOU are the tools and resources you need. The healing, the expansion, the transformation, the abundance, the love- everything you could possibly want, it’s already within you.
• Healing isn’t always in action. It’s done in stillness. So allow yourself to rest.
• Unless you lack morals (which you don’t), you can’t live life wrong. We all make mistakes but that doesn’t mean we’re morally bankrupt.
Trust that you’re making the right decisions and are on the right path. You’re slaying this journey of what we call life. Keep trusting that you’re on the right path and making the right decisions.
I’ll see you soon…in the meantime, love yourself so much that even a Hallmark Christmas movie would be jealous.
